Halloween Fun

We carved pumpkins last week with some friends.  Bret was not really into it. I thought I would have to carve both of ours, but out of nowhere he takes over and carves his own.  I was glad he did,  not only did he carve the front but the back as well.  We then drank all of the Chatwins Hot Chocolate and watched Hocus Pocus it was a really fun night.  Wednesday we got a special Halloween delivery thanks to Roxanne!  It was full of lots of candy and the mummy crafts.  I put the mummies together right away!  Thank You Roxanne it was really fun.
Just another belly picture for good measure.  This is week 28.

Unemployment leads to a lot of Crafting

I have been doing a lot of crafting lately!  They keep me busy and give me something to do.  Bret says that I should look for a job, but that does not sound like fun. Everything I have done revolves around this thing growing in my belly. With each kick it encourages me to keep crafting away! haha. The boxes are what I have done most recently I plan to fill them full of baby odds and ends! Old McDonald puppets were a pain.  The pattern was for hand puppets but I scaled them down to finger puppets which made it even more difficult. They turned out pretty cute if I do say so myself. The balls are just for toys, I know that they are made out of ugly material but I just used old shirts and rags. The last picture is a toy too. It has crinkle paper on the inside and silky material on the other side.  I really should get out more because the more I sit around our apartment the more I want to change things or make something new.

CRAVINGS

I got the biggest craving ever for some chocolate.  I tried a chocolate Pop Tart and it just did not feed the craving.  I needed the good stuff I needed a symphony bar with toffee.  I went a little crazy and Bret would try to talk to me but the only thing I could think about was a symphony bar.  I just kept chanting symphony.....symphony.....symphony.... I was already in my pajamas but I was craving it so bad that I was going to go put some clothes on and go to Walgreens to pick it up.  I was telling Bret that I could not live without it and that I needed it very soon.  I said I was not the only one that wanted it but little Benson must be wanting it too.  Bret is concerned that I am addicted to caffeine and so is the baby now.  He was supportive anyways and went to Walgreens to feed our addiction.  I was so happy to see it that I just stared at it for awhile and I thought I don't even need this now. I just needed to know that it was available for my consumption.  I thought I better eat some of it anyways because I made such a big deal about it.  I ate a row of chocolate, and drank some glorious Cherry Coke.  When I went to get in bed Bret asked if I ate it all I told him no just a line of chocolate.  He made fun of me saying I was using druggy terminology like snorting a line of cocaine.

On another note, I blame my mother for my addiction to Cherry Coke! It is engraved into my head that after a busy day or a crappy day a nice cold cherry coke makes everything better.  So after I was having some pain due to a pinched nerve and then a bad nights sleep.  I knew that I deserved a Cherry Coke.

Bee Sting

We went and played at a park during the break in Conference on Saturday and Bret got stung by a bee.  It did not swell up at first but the next day it was really bothering him.  It got pretty red and swollen the next few days and the benadryl he was taking really made him tired. So he would come straight home from school and get his ice pack made and go to sleep.  He had the biggest cankle and the swelling almost got up to his knee.  Luckily it has subsided and he is looking and feeling a lot better.
